Social Security to your state and county

Recently released, the annual publication OASDI Beneficiaries by State and County, 2012 provides Social Security retirement, survivors and disability benefit data, including type of benefit, numbers of beneficiaries and dollar amount of benefits paid in each state to the individual county level. (OASDI = Old age, survivors and disability insurance = Social Security).

Individual state information starts with national data. For state and county details, scroll down to table 4 (beneficiary counts) and table 5 (dollar amounts). Note that dollar amounts are shown in thousands of dollars.  Information can be shown in your choice of html, pdf or Excel formats.
